The 16th Finance Commission of India Chairman and members arrive at Bagdogra airport

Siliguri, January 19 (IPR): The Chairman, 16th Finance Commission of India, Dr Arvind Panagariya, along with the members Mr Ajay Narayan Jha , Ms Annie George Mathew, Dr Manoj Panda and Mr Rithvik Ranjan Pandey, Secretary, reached Bagdogra airport today. They are visiting Sikkim for five days from January 19 to January 23, 2025. They are accompanied by Mr K K Mishra, Joint Secretary, Mr Kumar Vivek, PS to Chairman, Mr Davinder Chodha, Joint Director, Mr Abhishek Nandan,OSD, Ms Promila Rajvanshi, PS to member, Dr Bhakesh Hazarika , Assistant Director and Ms Arushi Gupta , Assistant Director. On their arrival at Bagdogra airport, they were received by Mr Rajendra Sharma , Principal Director, Finance Department, Mr Kumar Bardewa , Principal Director, Finance Department, Mr Norbu Dadul , Director, Forest Department, Mr Binod Sharma , Director , Tourism and Civil Aviation Department, Mr Manoj Rai , Commissioner, Commercial Tax Division, Ms Sukriti Tewari, Senior AccountsOfficer, Science and Technology Department, Mr Karma Thendup Thapa, Joint Director, Home Department,Officials from Protocol Unit,Siliguri , Staff of STDC , Staff of SNT, and TIC Bagdogra.
