The construction of Foot Over Bridges (FOBs) is a proof to the city's commitment to progress, with the latest additions becoming iconic symbols of Namchi's evolving skyline. The FOB above the Namchi Taxi Stand, seamlessly connecting to Bhangyang Road and the one currently under construction at Dark Bungalow crossing above the district hospital stand as proud markers of Namchi Smart City Limited's dedication to enhancing the city's infrastructure. Marking a significant milestone on March 2, 2017, Namchi Smart City Limited propelled Namchi to the 36th position in the nation solidifying its status as the leading Smart City in the entire North East India region. The ongoing construction, initiated on April 1, 2019 and scheduled for completion on December 29, 2023 underlines the efficiency and commitment of Namchi Smart City Limited. With a budget allocation of 20.28 crores for the Dark Bungalow Crossing FOB, currently under construction, and 7.04 crores for the completed Namchi Taxi Stand FOB, the city's investment in modern infrastructure is a testament to its foresight and dedication to progress. These FOBs serve as vital components in augmenting connectivity and traffic management. Beyond addressing crowd issues, they contribute significantly to overall transportation efficiency and safety.
