Namchi Hosts 20th Sikkim State Boxing Championships: Prava Gajmer Shines Bright

The 20th Elite & Youth Men & Women Sikkim State Boxing Championships, organized under the aegis of the Sikkim Amateur Boxing Association, concluded successfully at the Boxing Hall, Car Plaza, Namchi. Held from December 22 to 24, the event witnessed the participation of 100 talented boxers from across the state. The star of the championship was Ms. Prava Gajmer, a native of Dochum, Sirwani, who etched her name in Sikkim’s sporting history with a stellar performance. Competing in the Elite Women’s 48-51 kg weight category, Prava displayed unparalleled skill, determination, and grit. Winning two bouts with remarkable finesse, she claimed the Gold Medal, becoming a source of immense pride for her community and her family, especially her mother, Bhim Maya Darnal.
