MANGAN, JANUARY, 13(2024): District level coordination meeting, awareness, understanding problems & solution cum appreciation letter presentation by AWW, Mangan district to the Association members.
The programme was attended by State Association president, Pravha Chettri. The programme started with welcome address by AWW, Mayalmit Lepcha. State Co-ordinator, Kamala Mangar, in her address focused on to make positive updates of delay in registration of birth and deaths certificate, work in full cooperation, promotion of Millet intake and production. She also thanked CM and government for announcement for regularisation of AWW, AWWH, A Anganwadi workers welfare association members who is working from last five years. Even BPL Category workers will get certain additional grant in medical treatment field, 50% discount in Hamro medical shop at STNM (Sokeythang).
Publicity secretary, Bhumika Biswakarma focused on Breast feeding, mother's health and healthy food and feeding to child and mother. Treasurer, Kalpana Chettri in her address said that North district is most disciplined AWW district in state. Gen. Secretary, Normit Lepcha informed that the association was registered on 05.07.2023 for welfare of all AWW and AAW workers. After retirement they will be provided some financial aids from association for their services.
In mean time the AWW staffs presented cultural programmes for all. Chairperson, Pravha Chettri as an chief guest in her address motivated the house to work sincerely, in cooperation and with full strength and they all are working for their services, benefits and had laid out the problems with Government. The programme also had open discussion on the problems, pension schemes and solutions.
