NGAN, JUNE, 16: Entry Level meeting for Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana for adoption of Mangshila - Tibuk GPU and Singhik - Sentam GPU under Mangan BAC by Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha), Shri. Hishey Lachungpa was held at MDZP Conference Hall, Zilla Bhawan, Mangan today on 16th June.
The programme had the presence of Member of Parliament ( Rajya Sabha), Hishey Lachungpa, Adhakshya, Kado Lepcha, DM Mangan, Hem Kumar Chettri, Special. Secretary, RDD cum Project Dir./Dy. Dir. SAGY, Smt. Benu Gurung, ADC Dev Mangan, K. R. Limboo, DPO Zilla, Karma Thendup Denzongpa, BDO Mangan, Kailash Thapa, Zilla Panchayat Members, Panchayat presidents and ward panchayat members, Officers from various line department and public of Mangshila - Tibuk GPU and Singhik - Sentam GPU.
The programme commenced with offering of khadas, bouquets and commodities to the esteemed guests followed by the lighting of the lamp (Chumi) .
The Chief Guest, Member of Parliament, Shri Hishey Lachungpa in his address expressed his gratitude towards everyone present for the momentous occasion of adoption of two GPUs. He stressed on the need for everyone to support each other and work unitedly to promote economic development. He mentioned that as a part of a society, everyone needs to develop a sense of responsibility and work together to bring social reform in the society.
A brief session on Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana was presented by Sp. Secretary, RDD , Smt. Beenu Gurung.
Afterwards BDO Mangan, Shri Kailash Thapa presented the Village development plan (VDP) for the two newly adopted GPUs, Mangshila Tibuk and Singhik Sentam respectively. During the session, Member of Parliament, Shri Hishey Lachungpa interacted with the officials of concerned departments and suggestions were also put forth regarding the VDP.
Earlier, The Panchayat Presidents of the two newly adopted GPU expressed their heartfelt gratitude towards Member of Parliament, Shri Hishey Lachungpa. They further expressed their hope for successful execution of the village development plan.
The programme also had culture performances and dances.
