XALBARI: A nine-year-old child, Krish Lakra died on Monday evening while his brother Kuldeep Lakra is still enrolled in North Bengal Medical.
It is known that 4 members of the same family fell ill after eating poisonous mushrooms in Harsing Jote in Hatigicha, they were first sent to Naxalbari Hospital and later to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital. The name of the deceased is Krish Lakra (9). The other three are Kuldeep Lakra (7), Almi Lakra (28) and Amrita Lakra (33).
Vice chairman of Siliguri Mahakuma Parishad Roma Reshmi Ekka and member Kumodini Baraik Ghosh met the family of the deceased today.
