The District-Level Coordination and Monitoring Committee (DISHA) meeting was held today at the Zilla Panchayat Assembly Hall in Gyalsing District, chaired by Hon'ble MP Lok Sabha, Shri Indra Hang Subba. The second day focused on promoting Lepcha culture and traditions. The event was attended by esteemed guests, including Minister Pinstso Namgyal Lepcha and Nar Bahadur Dahal.
One of the key highlights was the launch of the Explore Dzongu website, a platform dedicated to showcasing the unique culture, scenic beauty, and untold stories of Dzongu. The initiative aims to make the region’s heritage and traditions accessible to a broader audience.
The festival successfully brought together people from all walks of life, fostering a deeper appreciation for the Lepcha community’s cultural heritage while embracing digital innovation to keep traditions alive.
